Types of Resources for Markeing Information

Articles

Articles from journals, magazines, and major newspapers are a great source for new developments and recent studies in the field of marketing.  NCWC's ibrary databases can help you find these articles, just click on the Find Articles and More tab on the left.

Books / eBooks

A book can provide detailed background and in-depth historical information about a given topic.  For print books, use the library catalog, for eBooks a good database is eBook Central.  Access books from the Find Books / eBooks tab on the left.

Reference Books

These include encyclopedias, dictionaries, maps, and other resources that are referred to for quick, summary information.  Go to these for definitions, shorter explanations, quick historical and biographical sketches.  For reference books, try Credo Reference here or go to the Find Articles & More tab.

Web Sites

The internet can provide a wealth of marketing information, especially from educational institutions, government sources, and professional organizations.  Find internet resources on many of the many of the tabs to the left including: demographics, market share, advertising, products, international marketing, and industry research.
